VACATION IN KENTUCKY

There's a lot to explore when vacationing in Louisville, Kentucky. Famous for the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs, Louisville has a lot more to offer. However, a visit to Louisville is not complete without a visit to the newly renovated Churchill Downs and the museum. Tours are available, and the history of racing and the horses that have appeared at the Downs is fascinating.
The Muhammad Ali Center is located in the middle of the historic downtown area, and is an international cultural attraction. Exhibits of the accomplishments of hometown hero Muhammad Ali are featured, as well as historic Civil Rights media footage, video of Ali's fights, and a children's Hope and Dream Wall. Visitors have said, "You will come out a better person."
Also worth a visit is the Louisville Zoo Providing a large variety of exhibits, the zoo also contains a water park and lots of picnic areas, making this zoo a fun and comfortable place for families and children.

The Belle of Louisville and The Spirit of Jefferson are two tour boats that provide a lovely dining experience. They are the perfect venues for weddings, proms, and corporate events. They will accommodate family reunions and military groups, as well. The Belle is in her 94th year, and has received two Historical Society Awards. The season runs from May through October, with many special themed cruises scheduled.

For good eats, check out Jack Fry's, a favorite with locals and named Restaurant of the Year by Louisville Magazine.
