When it comes to great places to vacation to, few states can compare to all that the state of Nevada has to offer. From legalized gambling, to outdoor recreation, to beautiful natural scenery, Nevada sure does seem to have it all. Here is a look three communities in the state that are very popular with travelers from all over.
- Las Vegas, Nevada
The most popular vacation destination in Nevada by far is the city of Las Vegas. This city offers a wealth of things to do including gambling, people watching, amusement park rides, shopping, fine dining, live performances, and more.
The Las Vegas Strip is an amazing place to see first hand. Some of the very popular casinos on the strip include Treasure Island, the Mirage, Caesars Palace, New York New York, MGM Grand, Circus Circus, Excalibur, and the Stratosphere. Las Vegas also offers a fun time in the older downtown area that has been transformed into the amazing Fremont Experience. Travelers just cannot go wrong with a visit to Las Vegas.
- Reno, Nevada
Known by many as the little sister to Las Vegas, the city of Reno also offers a great many things to do and a whole different atmosphere and vibe. Reno has a number of casinos in it where travelers can gamble, eat, shop, and see live performances including the Circus Circus, Harrah's, Sands Regency, Peppermill, and the Atlantis. Reno offers other attractions too including the National Automobile Museum, Animal Ark, Bartley Ranch Regional Park, and the nearby Mt. Rose Ski Resort. A great time can be had by visiting Reno.
- Henderson, Nevada
The city of Henderson offers a completely different type of vacation experience than the gambling meccas of Las Vegas and Reno. In Henderson, the main attractions are more relaxing or outdoors in nature. Some of the fun things to do include hiking, picnicking, shopping, and water recreation. For those that want to gamble, they still can in many of the smaller casinos found in Henderson.
Golfing is a major thing to do there and some of the better courses are Anthem Country Club, the Falls Golf Club, Revere Golf Club, Reflection Bay Golf Club, Black Mountain Golf & Country Club, and the Tuscany Golf Club.
